Traditionally, New Brunswick is the snowiest of the three Maritime Provinces. Northwestern New Brunswick generally receives between 300 and 400 cm. of snow annually, while the eastern and southern sections of the province receive 200 to 300 cm. The snowmobile season usually runs from December until the end of March; but make sure to check trail conditions, because if Mother Nature cooperates, you could get out as early as November and still be sledding in April.
Trail Permit Information and more…
The New Brunswick Federation of Snowmobile Clubs provides snowmobilers with perrtinent, up-to-date information. You’ll find links for trail permits (decal which is affixed to the left side of the hood of your snowmobile to allow you access to the trail system), trail conditions, active Snowmobile Clubs, events, and everything you need to plan a perfect afternoon outing or a weekend getaway.
