Day 1
Depart Montreal onboard Via Train ‘The Ocean’.

Day 2 : Moncton to Bouctouche to Miramichi (143 km / 89 mi.)
Arrival in Moncton at 11:10 a.m. Pickup your rental car or meeting your local Tour Group and let your New Brunswick Experience begin.

Irving Eco-Centre, La Dune de Bouctouche – Bouctouche
This is your opportunity to discover the last remaining great sand dunes on the northeastern coast of North America. The fragile ecology of the area is protected by a boardwalk, which also provides access to native plants, animals and birds. Suggested time: 1 hour. Free Admission.

Le Pays de la Sagouine – Bouctouche
A fictional Acadian village created by award-winning author Antonine Maillet. Visit the characters, enjoy the music, and sample the authentic Acadian cuisine… a true taste of Acadian “joie de vivre” (joy of life). Suggested time: 2 hours.

The Olivier Soapery (Canada's Soap Economuseum®) - Sainte-Anne-de-Kent
Experience the secrets of Olivier’s hand crafted soaps. This animated, entertaining demonstration is available seven days a week at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Please tell your clients to ask Pierre or Isabelle for a bilingual presentation. Suggested time: 2 hours. Free Admission.

Kouchibouguac National Park of Canada – Kouchibouguac
An intricate blend of coastal and inland habitats, beaches, sand dunes, salt marshes and rivers. Swim, bike or hike in this natural treasure. Over 233 species of birds representing 44 families have been recorded at Kouchibouguac and the barrier islands are home to the second largest tern colony in North America.

Miramichi Kitchen Party – Miramichi
A true local experience of a real kitchen party where the guests are actually part of the evening’s entertainment. (This experience is only available to Tour Operators and must be booked in advance. Please Note: FIT travellers are welcome on a limited basis.)

Day 3 : Miramichi to Caraquet to Miramichi (300 km / 186 mi.)
Enjoy the thrill of discovering nature at The Ecological Park of the Acadian Peninsula in Lamèque. Watch Acadian Peninsula wildlife from an observation tower and hiking trail while on a one-and-a-half hour guided tour.

Discover marine species native to the Gulf of St. Lawrence at the New Brunswick Aquarium and Marine Centre in Shippagan. Suggested time: 2 hours. Interpretation available with advance notice.

This afternoon the story of Acadia will come to life at award-winning Village Historique Acadien in Caraquet. A self-sufficient village that accurately reflects the ingenuity and tenacity of the early Acadian settlers. Required time: 3 hours. Interpretation available with advance notice.

Day 4 : Miramichi to Fredericton (175 km / 105 mi.)
Visit award-winning Kings Landing Historical Settlement – Prince William (near Fredericton)

This living museum re-creates life in rural New Brunswick in the 1800s. Enjoy a fabulous 19th-century meal at the Kings Head Inn. Suggested time: 3½ hours with lunch. You may also wish to have a tour customized especially for your group by the staff.

Your day will begin with a guided tour of Fredericton. Discover the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, home to one of Salvador Dali’s most famous masterpieces, Christ Church Cathedral and the Old Government House. Officers’ Square, the beautiful downtown park overlooking the river in the Historic Garrison District, now has a new washroom and event facility. With the new facility, and free coach parking beside the building, this site makes a great rest stop. In the Square, visitors can watch the ‘Changing of the Guards’ ceremony (daily in summer). There are free concerts on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and daily Fredericton Outdoor Summer Theatre performances. Visit the York Sunbury Museum or take a stroll along the riverfront trails. Day 5/6 : Fredericton to St. Andrews (137 km / 85 mi.)
Discover the beautiful seaside resort town of St. Andrews by-the-Sea. Search for whales, seals, white-sided dolphins, harbor porpoises and more aboard one of the local vessels. Suggested time: 3.5 hours. Advance booking required for groups.

Make incredible memories in a sea kayak! Discovery spectacular coastline, phenomenal eco-systems and incredible wildlife. Experienced guides will teach you the joy of paddling for what promises to be an unforgettable experience. Required time: 3.5 hours.

Kingsbrae Garden – St.Andrews by-the-Sea
An enchanting 11-hectare (27-acre) horticulture masterpiece. Named one of Canada’s Top Ten Public Gardens.

Enjoy personal interpretation at several national and provincial historic sites, churches, museums, science centres and the aquariums. Guided tours are also available. Stroll down Water Street, the Historic Shopping District and visit studios and galleries featuring local artists and artisans.

Day 7 : St. Andrews to Saint John (88 km / 55 mi.)
The journey begins on the historic streets of Saint John, Canada’s oldest incorporated city. Highlights include The Saint John City Market dating back to 1876 and the Loyalist Burial Grounds. Suggested time: 1½ hours. Advance booking required.

Visit the New Brunswick Museum and relive the era of shipbuilding and lumber camps. Off to the Reversing Falls to see where the powerful Bay of Fundy tides reverse the flow of the mighty St. John River. Be sure to check the tide schedule.

If you truly want to experience the Reversing Falls, you need to challenge them with the Reversing Falls Jet Boat Ride. Splash through the rapids, whirlpools and white caps. Suggested
time: 30 minutes.

Day 8 : Saint John to Hopewell Cape to Moncton (225 km / 140 mi.)
Visit Fundy National Park of Canada in Alma, where you will find an extensive trail system, a challenging golf course and a heated saltwater pool. Step-on guide service is also available.

The Hopewell Rocks – Hopewell Cape
You’ll witness the highest tides in the world! The Bay of Fundy tides rise and fall almost 14 m (48 ft.) twice a day, every day! The tides have literally carved nearby cliffs into gigantic flowerpots! Be sure to check the tide schedule. Suggested time: 3 hours. Interpretation available with advance notice.

This evening, join McSweeney Dinner Theatre in Moncton for an evening of food, comedy, and a little bit of chaos that features singing, dancing and a whole lot of fun. Advanced booking required.

Day 9 : Departure Day
Before your 5 p.m. departure to Montreal, visit Shediac, “The Lobster Capital of the World”.

Savour the ultimate lobster experience with Shediac Bay Cruises. Fish, cook and learn to crack your own lobster while at sea. Suggested time: 2½ hours. Interpretation included.

Visit Parlee Beach Provincial Park – New Brunswick’s Favourite Swimming Beach. With waters peaking at 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit), it’s some of the warmest water north of Virginia.
